What the heck is Wings of Goose?

Fly on the Wings of Goose

If you're reading this, first of all can I just say, thank you so much! Writing a blog takes a lot of time and effort, and this is a very small effort compared to the hundreds of prolific bloggers, some of whom who write every day - incredible!

I'm Sam; housewife, mummy to two (very!!!) busy boys, husband to Marno, and frustrated artist and designer. Also, I am a Christian who reads and believes the Bible, and tries to make God the centre of my life. I have a degree in fine art, which seems to have evolved in the years since I finished uni, from oil painting and drawing, to knitting, spinning, sewing and a much stronger textiles focus.

I spend many hours of the day imagining creating whilst, in reality, playing with wooden trainsets, being dragged into the garden to push my one and three year olds around in their cozy coupes, and supervise the sandpit. Throw in a lot of stickers, particularly featuring Peppa Pig or Lego, and, oh, all the other stuff that comes with looking after children full time and you pretty much have it.

I'm (really!) trying to keep up my creativity during this time when it's nigh on impossible, so I have a basis on which to build some kind of creative business when time eventually allows. This means often choosing to create rather than blog, so perhaps less posts than I'd like, but, hopefully, worthwhile content. Goose is my husband's nickname for me, which is known by everyone we know, and which he calls me, well, all the time. I am totally not going to mention that he has an equally ridiculous nickname which I call him... So, once there was a song, possibly in the early noughties, called "Fly on the wings of love". I decided to amend those lyrics and it became a little joke. For some reason, I thought it would be a good title for my blog. That remains to be seen, but it seems to have stuck.
